SCHOLARSHIP

The journey of NCC has begun on the 15th July 1948 under the NCC ACT XXXVI and become the largest uniformed youth organization in the world. The NCC Coy of the college was started in the year 1965 and Prof Dilip Saikia, Department of Political Science was in-charge of NCC. Major KG Das was the first commission NCC Officer. At present Lieutenant Sarat Hazarika is the ANO. He joined the NCC in 1996 and was commissioned as an Associate NCC Officer on the 21 Oct, 2000 after completion of the commissioned training at NCC Officer Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur. SUO Manash Pratim Dutta, SUO Mridul Deuri, SUO Pallabi Deuri and SUO Rajesh Deuri attended the Republic Day Camp at Delhi. SUO Jogen Saikia, SUO Rituparn Deuri and SUO Niranjan Barman attended the Thal Sainik Camp at New Delhi. SUO Bikash Sarmah successfully participated in basic mountaineering Course at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering Uttarkashi, Uttarkhand. Sgt Moon Chandra Deuri had participated in 2nd Silent Knight International Karate Open Championship and won BRONZE Medal in 2011 which was held in Singapur. A long list of cadets has successfully participated in various camps like CATC, ATC, NIC, BLC, ALC, adventure camps in different parts of the country. Many NCC cadets joined army and paramilitary forces.
